The story

Racer Jack Riley is pushed off a cliff, awakening Lightning, an alien Defender scout dormant on Earth for 80 years. They return to racing but get pulled into a galactic war: Frostfang's Ironvore Legion seeks the Ultimate Core. With heiress Rose Cavendish and the Anvil Racing Team, Jack and Lightning become leaders of a united Defender force. The final battle spans deserts, cities, and a mothership. When the government surrenders, Jack and his allies prove Earth's salvation is human courage.
